As a Functional Medicine Health Coach I will help you uncover the root causes of your health issues. I will educate, guide and support you as you set goals and make sustainable changes to improve your health and happiness. As your health coach, I will listen carefully and we’ll navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and health advice together to explore what truly works for you.  Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, improving sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the nutrition and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.
 

Working with me
 
I do a thorough health history, symptom questionnaire and lab review and ask lots of questions. In hearing your story, I put together the puzzle pieces of what might be contributing to your symptoms and health issues. I recommend a few dietary and lifestyle changes each session, and help you incorporate them into your daily routine. After two weeks, we'll discuss how those went and how they made you feel. Then we'll talk some more and add on a few more goals for your next two weeks. I emphasize the importance of local and organic produce, high-quality proteins, healthy fats, and getting the right nutrients through all the colors of the rainbow. It's not just about portion size but more importantly, the quality of the nutrients you are providing to your body to perform optimally. Together we'll determine the foods that make you feel great!

Core Concepts

Crowding Out: By eating and drinking foods that are good for you, you will naturally have less room and desire for unhealthy foods. Simply put, you will “crowd out” the unhealthy food in your diet. This takes a little practice to make happen, but I will support you all the way.

 


Bio-Individuality™: The concept of bio-individuality is the idea that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, health concerns, and family history.
