Chocolate Smoothie Bowl


Yields

1 serving

Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened coconut milk

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

1 scoop collagen peptides

1/3 cup of berries - raspberries, cranberries or strawberries, optional

1/4 cup raw walnuts, rough chopped

1 dark chocolate bar



Directions

  1. Add the first four ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth
  2. Pour into a bowl.
  3. Sprinkle walnuts on top.
  4. Using a vegetable peeler on the thin edge of your chocolate bar, shave some dark chocolate off and sprinkle on top of your smoothie bowl.
  5. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. You can sub in your favorite non-dairy milk for coconut milk. My favorites are coconut, almond and cashew milk. Cashew milk will make a more decadent, creamy smoothie bowl. I recommend avoiding soy milk as it's very highly processed and usually GMO.
  2. Protein powder - I recommend plant based protein powders over whey or soy based. Reach out to find out my favorite brands.
  3. Collagen peptides - I recommend only choosing a brand that is from pasture raised cows. I used Garden of Life collagen peptides, which can be purchased in Wellevate (a great site for high quality supplements - I offer 10% off everything all the time). Another brand I like is Vital Proteins
